These are my first attempt at Intuitive Portraits. My pen broke on #2, I was very surprised! I think I have a few more to do before I am happy! I signed up for a few more swaps, and it seems to have fueled me on in my art just like I was hoping it would! Happy to say that I pulled out of my short funk! Back to things that make me feel good to paint! I have a work related art project to do that I am excited about! I am making an Open and Closed sign to hang in the window of the shop. I am thinking of wood burning and painting. I want to make sure it is still easy to flip and see from the street. I have just a few more things to figure. What it will hang from that is none evasive and yet will stick to glass. Simple details really but I would rather work it out now then have to rig it later. I also finished anther Greeting card, this one is fun, and I still may add a little to it. Will post when I am happy with it.

Latest Greeting Card!

Tree in a Round (Front)
(inside)
(Back)
Had lots of fun with this card, close to my heart you could say! I love these they really make my day just to make them. I hope them make someone's day to receive them! The great thing about art is that on any given day it can move you, each day is different, but you always remember the feeling you got when you immersed yourself in a great piece of art.

"Red Violet Orb"
Orb Face
Clerk Goose
Magnify
"He was going way too fast!"
For 6 word micro fiction swap. I feel I am getting closer to having a handle on this swap. It may be time to look up some new swaps soon. Though I have a day job now so it is going to get tougher on me to keep up with my personal art schedule. I am still going full tilt till it just doesn't work anymore. Off to make signs for work! Everywhere I go I see potential for art work, I am excited that even with just signs in the shop I can add a little Color to the place!

6 Word Micro Fiction Cards

Is is strange all my stories today are about plants? It was a beautiful day to be outdoors. Some freestyle out side sketching is just the thing! I think I want to try a bigger version of both, together maybe. I have been so busy with art and work lately that I haven't had a minute to just relax and do Art. Nice slower paced day.

Rainbow Cat #3
Worked very hard to get all of our things together for the Etsy Showcase. Just made our deadline. Cards today were fun and this is my best cat yet I think. I am still not happy with my impressions of cat so far. This is the closest. My Woods in spring was fun and challenging. I may try some other variation of that Idea. I am in love with my Dream Around Tree Greeting Card, The Back is almost better than the front! I like the Idea of sending out a Sweet piece of art as a greeting card and not just card stock with a stamped picture and someone else's words. My mothers day is in the Bag!

My Woods in Spring

My Woods In Spring
One of three cards that I did this morning, to me the only one I was happy with. Life is a little more stressful right now, so my art mind is even more scattered. I have almost finished an oil painting that I started 6 months ago or more. I am excited and waiting for it to dry so I can do the next layer is driving me mad. I have started 5 more projects just sitting around waiting for paint to dry. Now I shouldn't be in want of a painting to work on. A great new line of greeting cards is in the works. Greeting cards is quite an undertaking. To keep the edges from taring when we remove the tape we have to do the whole project from start to finish in as little time as possible. So a long night and maybe a day of working. I really like the end results of a set that is unique and each card goes together but is in itself unique. Mother's day is around the corner. I know what I am getting her! ;)

Mountain Grandmother and Face the ink wash
I can't say much for today for my mind is to full at the moment. This wonderful face jumped out at me from a random ink washed card. It was a great group effort! Mountain Grandmother started out as a mountain drawing and ended up as a women. Strange day.

"Turtle"
Pointy Dragon for Pointillism Swap
Pointy Giraffe for Pointillism Swap
Yes it's true we have finally finished our pointillism cards and will be mailing Monday morning! Gordon's Dragon turned out quite nice I feel! I am very happy with my giraffe and want to work on a few more giraffe studies I think. A friend of mine took some great pictures and I am having allot of fun sketching from them! We are starting out plans for a large sculpture that will be in front of our House/Studio. I am just having final discussions of what the sculpture should be. I think we should have a pole when we get two good Plans drawn up! Such a big project shouldn't be up to just us! Go Team!! I will put this small town on the map somehow, even if its just for me living in it! Our tiny town could really use a boost! So how better than with Art!!

Think Flowers
Sunny flower
Exhale
"Oh No! My plate of Worms!"
Strange day for art, its not over but I'm taking a quick blog break. I am feeling flowers lately, the spring fever has me in it's warm and sunny grasp. I choose to only see the green and lush spring in the upcoming future. I get very antsy to see the earth and growth start again. I have a large sculpture I want to do to mark the entrance to our house a bit better, and who can miss a 8 foot high cement sculpture? I mean really? So big things for spring. The sculpture will take quite a bit of figuring and that is why I am starting now! Plans need to be drawn in fair detail before I am start winging it with the plaster. On to my assignment of the night! Finish the cards for a personal trade that I have had hanging! Go, Amber, Go!
